We’ve had a great start with the Fall Semester! All of the children have settled easily into our daily routine and seem to enjoy their time spent at school. We started off the school year with our “All about me” Unit focusing on friends, body parts, emotions and senses. Through exploring these themes the children gained a sense of who they are as unique individuals and how they belong to our school community! From this Unit we made the transition into learning about our Community helpers, extending our community from the school to the outside world! We even had a visit from the fire station and each had a turn sitting in the big red fire engine! For the month of November we will be exploring health and nutrition as well as home and family. Feel free to bring anything you like to the classroom that represents your child and their family to share with the classroom!
I was so sad to have to step down from teaching the PDO class on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I very much enjoyed the time I was privileged to spend with your children in class and plan to visit the classroom often in order to continue the strong bond I feel with each and every one of them! Please give a warm welcome to Ms. Izumi who I know will continue to create a warm and nurturing atmosphere for your children to continue to grow.
Don’t forget to sign-up for Parent/Teacher conferences!
I would like to extend a quick reminder to bring extra clothes appropriate to the changing weather in case of accidents as well as warm jackets. We will continue to go outside weather permitting, decreasing the time spent outdoors as it gets colder. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to ask either myself, Ms. Mandi or Ms. Izumi!
